Cookie Policy

This page explains which cookies and similar technologies Wamaya uses, what each one does and how long it lasts. The controller of your personal data is Wamaya AB, 559264-4651, Örnehufvudsgatan 9, 412 59 Göteborg, Sweden. Questions: info@wamaya.se.

We ask for your consent before setting anything that is not strictly necessary to run the shop. You can change or withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.

• Necessary — required for the site to work: your cart, your language, your consent choice itself, and payment fraud checks. These cannot be switched off.

• Analytics — helps us understand which pages and products people use, in aggregate. Off until you accept.

• Marketing — lets us measure advertising and show relevant ads. Off until you accept.

• cc_cookie — stores your cookie choices (182 days)

• NEXT_LOCALE — remembers which language and market you are viewing (session)

• wamaya_cart_count — the number of items in your cart, so the cart icon is correct the moment a page loads (365 days)

• __stripe_mid — payment fraud prevention, set by Stripe in the checkout (1 year)

• __stripe_sid — payment fraud prevention, set by Stripe in the checkout (30 minutes)

Analytics: _ga and _ga_<container> (Google Analytics 4, loaded via Google Tag Manager). Marketing: Google Ads conversion and remarketing identifiers such as _gcl_au. Neither is set until you accept the matching category.

Some things are kept in your browser's own storage rather than in a cookie. They are never sent to our servers and are not used to identify you. Most stays until you clear your browser; a few temporary helpers are cleared when you close the tab.

• Your cart and wishlist — and when their prices were last re-checked.

• Your checkout details — so a failed payment does not cost you retyping.

• Designs in progress — in “create your own”, and any discount code you have applied.

• Products you recently viewed — and your recent searches.

• Temporary helpers — which category you came from (to order products better), a short-lived copy of a product listing so going back is instant, and a guard that stops one order being counted twice. Cleared when you close the tab.

• Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention. Loaded only in the checkout.

• Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads) — only after you accept Analytics and/or Marketing. We use Google Consent Mode, so before you accept, Google's tags receive no identifiers.

• Cloudflare Turnstile — protects our newsletter and review forms from automated abuse, in invisible mode: it never shows anything and never asks you to do anything. See Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum (https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-addendum/).

Google, Stripe and Cloudflare are established in the United States and may process data there. Those transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where needed, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Necessary cookies are used in order to provide the service you asked for. Analytics and marketing cookies are used solely on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

You withdraw consent via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. You also have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to object to its processing — see our privacy policy. Contact info@wamaya.se. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.
